Frá Martin Luther til Hitlers - Hverjum má kenna um helförinna

Mikil ófrægingar herferð hefur verið og er í gangi af hálfu ofurtrúaðra sköpunarsinna, sem geta ekki komið með nein rök fyrir sýnum skoðunum og reyna því að tengja þróunarkenninguna og önnur vísindi sem passa ekki við þeirra trú við eitthvað slæmt.  Hitler, nazismi og helförin verða oftar en ekki fyrir valinu.

Gott og nýlegt dæmi um það er myndin Expelled, sem á að fjalla um það hvernig kennurum sé meinað að breiða út trúarskoðanir sínar í almenningsskólum í BNA, en sýnst víst aðallega um það að kenna þróunarkenningunni um helförina.

Svo áberandi er áróðurinn og tilraunin til að tengja vísindi við nazisma að samtökin Anti-Defamation Legue sáu sig tilneydd til að gefa frá sér eftirfarandi yfirlýsingu:

Hvet alla sem efast um hlutdrægni þessarar stofnunar að kynna sér starfsemi hennar.

En, áróðurinn hefur áhrif.  Þrátt fyrir ítrekaðar tilraunir mínar og annarra til að leiðrétta þetta heldur sköpunnarsinninn mófiþví statt og stöðugt fram að Hitler, nazismi og helförin séu bein afleiðing þróunarkenningarinnar.  Í nýjasta blogginu sínu (þegar þetta er skrifað), Frá Darwin til Hitlers, sýnir hann myndband (sem ég hef ekki haft tíma til að horfa á ennþá, +58 mínútur) sem honum þykir styðja við þá hugmynd að þetta sé allt 'darwinisma' og trúleysi að kenna.

Ég ætla ekki að fara að neita því að nazismi nýti sér það sem hentar úr þróunarkenningunni til að réttlæta ýmislegt, en ætla frekar að taka fyrir hvaðan Hitler fékk sínar hugmyndir um að réttast væri að útrýma öllum gyðingum.

Ef maður flettir upp 'Martin Luther' á Wiki finnur maður fljótlega eftir farandi texta:

"The prevailing view^[92]among historians is that his anti-Jewish rhetoric contributed significantly to the development of antisemitism in Germany,^[93]and in the 1930s and 1940s provided an ideal foundation for the National Socialist's attacks on Jews.^[94]"

"On December 17, 1941, seven Lutheran regional church confederations issued a statement agreeing with the policy of forcing Jews to wear the yellow badge, "since after his bitter experience Luther had already suggested preventive measures against the Jews and their expulsion from German territory.""
